Our Story
Some wonder how the cowboy cookie came to be. When cowboys would set out for a day of work on the ranch they would take cowboy cookies with them because they were packed with oatmeal and walnuts and would hold up well in their saddlebags. Dani's Cowboy Cookies began with my mother, Doris Betonte. My mom made the famous cowboy cookie recipe her own and dreamed of someday starting a business. Due to challenges with finding, and affording, a commercial kitchen needed to sell her cookies, she gave up on her dream. I took over the cowboy cookie baking in my youth and after years of rave reviews and countless requests for cookies, my mom gifted me a commercial mixer and in 2020 Dani's Cowboy Cookies was born!
Sadly, Doris passed away in October of 2022, but her memory lives on through the cookies.
